Eddie Bastone, chef and proprietor of Fratelli Restaurant, developed his love for food at an early age. As a young boy, he learned by watching and helping his mother prepare family meals. The care she put into the meals she served was as sure a sign of love as a hug or a kiss, inspiring young Eddie to do the same. He took pride in recipes handed down through generations as well as the family’s annual tradition of canning fresh tomatoes, making wine and preparing sopressata. Eddie has taken these old world lessons and adapted them to his kitchen adding his own unique style. The pleasure and joy Eddie receives from seeing the faces of happy and satisfied customers is surpassed only by the love he feels for his wife, Joanne and their two wonderful sons, Francesco and Gianluca.
